The rugged, authentically-African landscape is extraordinarily beautiful and geographically-diverse. The Reserve’s savannah grasslands, indigenous trees and shrubs are home to the Big Five, over 40 smaller game species, and abundant birdlife.
Nambiti’s History
The creation of Nambiti in 2000 was the realisation of an outdoorsman’s dream. Founder Rob Le Sueur worked closely with conservationists and wildlife experts to remove cattle fences, clear alien vegetation and restock the game reserve with wildlife.
More farms were absorbed into the Reserve over time, and in 2005, a development application was made to develop guest lodges.
In 2007, Nambiti shareholders were informed of a land claim, which was happily settled by 2009. The local community are now actively involved in the management and future development of the Reserve.
