Head for the Majestic Mountains

The famous Drakensberg mountain range is only an hour away from Ndaka, and is certainly worth including during longer trips – if you can tear yourself away from the Lodge, that is!

The Drakensberg is a World Heritage Site that covers over 600 000 hectares of KwaZulu-Natal’s landscape; one of the province’s most iconic landmarks. The mountain range is known for its breathtaking beauty, secret waterfalls and dramatic drops.

Along with hiking and trail running, the Berg (as its commonly known) is home to a number of active and adrenalin-filled adventures – quad biking, white water rafting, 4×4 trails, mountain biking, horse riding, rock climbing, fly-fishing, bird-watching, kayaking and more.
