We spent 3 nights at the beautiful Ndaka and honestly… it gets better every single time we go! This was our third visit, and somehow it still feels like pure magic.

Ndaka is truly one of those places that just understands families. Everything is so thoughtfully catered for children. From the food, to the activities, to the way they welcome the little ones with gifts, the game drives (no age limits, which we LOVE) etc. The kids lived their best lives… swimming, exploring, painting rocks, beading necklaces, playing, spotting animals, and soaking up every second.

Our family decided on Ndaka given they are a child friendly safari lodge and they did not disappoint! We had an excellent experience from the moment we arrived until our departure. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were well cared for in all aspects. The twice daily safari drives are magical and such a treat getting to see the wildlife.Our family had two large tents that are spacious, clean and comfortable. The kids club , pool and outdoor play equipment was a great place for the children to burn some energy during the day. The food was tasty with a good variety each day. Thank you for a wonderful family getaway with beautiful memories. We can’t wait to return in the future.

After five weeks of travelling in South Africa, Ndaka was the ultimate treat of our journey…sadly, it was only two nights but should have been many more – a return visit will be on the bucket list for 2026! Lungelo our ranger was so informative with great knowledge of all aspect of the bush, tree specimens, birds and of course all animals. He took us up hill and down dale – and stopped every now and then for a short lesson which proved to be invaluable.

The Ndaka experience was 10/10, the staff were super welcoming and helpful, the food was delicious, and the guides were very knowledgeable about the animals/plants in the reserve.

Could not recommend this place enough!!

We visited for one night on route between Durban and Joburg with two children (aged 4 and 2). The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. On arrival the children were given a choice of animal soft toy, and we were then shown to our spacious safari tent with beautiful views and animals coming right up to our window! Our guide for the 2 game drives was very knowledgeable, and asked the children what animas they wanted to see to try to try and guide our route. We saw 4 out of the big 5, with incredible close up views of giraffe, rhino and buffalo! I definitely recommend Ndaka for anyone travelling with children and wanting a family-friendly safari. The children were made to feel special, and everything had been carefully thought through, down to the children’s cutlery/crockery/placemats/food choices, hot chocolate with marshmallows during the morning game drive, and even staff available on site to babysit if needed! A thoroughly enjoyable trip, and we wish we could have stayed longer!
